Mandarin Citris madurensis

Mandarin Orange originated in China, and it was so prized that it was traditionally given as a Royal gift. Its oil is widely used in perfumery and as a flavouring.

The fruit of the Mandarin tree is considered to be particularly refreshing, uplifting, and tonic to the spirits. Its scent is redolent of fresh, clear summer mornings, and good cheer. Mandarin orange has a long traditional use as a food and its essential oil is commonly used in perfumery. The tree is grown across much of China, the Mediterranean, and in the Americas.

We use the organic essential oil in Lemon & Mandarin Tea.
